Happy New Year

 gingerbread-housefinal

The title of my blog post is Happy New Year and I post a picture of a Gingerbread house …. what can I say?   It’s the only picture I have at the moment.

Truth be told … since Brooke and I are still sick Dave couldn’t wait any longer and he finished the Gingerbread house himself.

So what’s new ….  not much!    I’m still terribly sick!  I went to urgent care on Saturday … three days later …. I still can’t function. The one saving grace is I’m finally able to sleep (with some good meds) and Dave came home early to help me.

Back to the sick stuff …as soon as I feel better I’ll create some projects and get them posted.  Our Sampin’ Up! Leadership meeting is next week and I’m keeping my fingers crossed I get to go.

Here’s a couple selfie pics at urgent care, they made us wear face mask because so many people had tested positive for the flu. (I was there twice in one week …..once with Brooke and once for myself).

The final picture is a cute blurry pic of Miss Bella. (She loved her new bone.)

Clearance Rack has been updated

customerblogheader_clearancerackblitz_dec1013_us_ca_uk_sp

Good afternoon,

I’m just checking in real quick to let you know that the Clearance Rack has some new items added today.

Click here if you’d like to check the Stampin’ Up! Clearance Rack.

On a personal note ….. I’m sorry I haven’t posted in a week!!

I really meant to post before now but … in the past week Chase was sick, Brooke is sick … we spent three hours at Urgent Care and .. now I’ve got it….every time I try to talk I start coughing …. oh dear!!!

I’m typically a last minute shopper and I do fine …but this year I was still shopping at 5:30 on Christmas Eve … that’s cutting it too close for me!! This year has reminded me of the holidays when my kids were little and everyone would get sick. (I thought we’d grown out of that stage.)

My TO DO LIST is a mile long ….. I need to announce the 12 Days of Christmas winners .. I need to check email and I need to do laundry … I need groceries.  Just as soon as I feel better!!

I hope that all of you had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!  (I pray I get to post before January 1st ….hopefully I’ll feel better by then!)

I’m sorry my blog post seems a little gloom and doom but I didn’t want to wait another day to check in with all of you.

Have a great weekend!!

12 Days of Christmas 2013 Day 8

Stampin’ Up! 12 Days of Christmas

 ChristmasBag_b

The Christmas Bag is the 8th project for the 12 Days of Christmas.

On the original bag I used the Polka Dot Parade Designer Series Paper …and I just couldn’t stop myself from using the Season of Style DSP on the next one.  I love those colors together!!

I used the Merry Little Christmas stamp set with the Deco Labels Framelits.

To make this bag all you need is a piece of Designer Series Paper that measures 8-1/2 x 11.

Here’s a video on how to make the 12 Days of Christmas 2013 Day Eight Christmas Bag.

12 Days of Christmas 2013 Day 7

Stampin’ Up! 12 Days of Christmas

Ringbox_b

A Ring Box is the 7th project for my 12 Days of Christmas.

To make this project you’ll need a piece of Whisper White Card Stock that measures 6 x 6 …for the base of the box ….  and a piece that measures 3-5/8 x 3-5/8 for the top.

When I was creating this project I made a couple out of Designer Series Paper (they’re really cute) and … then I made one with solid card stock and covered it with DSP …but I kept coming back to the plain white box.  I’m not sure why but I really like the look of it.

I used A Gift for you Single Stamp and just ignore me when I say in the video that I can’t remember the name of the stamp…. yes … I’m was clearly was not thinking 🙂

Here’s a video on how to make the 12 Days of Christmas 2013 Day Seven Ring Box.

12 Days of Christmas 2013 Day 6

Stampin’ Up! 12 Days of Christmas

Reindeer-Bag_b

The Reindeer Bag is the 6th project for the 12 Days of Christmas.

To make this bag you’ll need 12 x 12 card stock and I used the Cherry Cobbler Textured Card Stock and cut it down to measure 11-5/8 x 5-1/4.

You can find the Reindeer in the Color Me Christmas Stamp Set and the greeting it from the Christmas Tagables Stamp Set.

I stamped the image with Black Stazon Ink on Shimmery White Card Stock and …… to color the image I used a combination of Ink Pads, Aqua Painter, Blender Pen and Markers.

Here’s a video on how to make the 12 Days of Christmas 2013 Day Six Reindeer Bag.
