12 Weeks of Halloween 2013 Week 1

12weekshalloweenweek01small

The Halloween Bottle is my 1st project or my 12 Weeks of Halloween.

You can find cute jars and bottles just about anywhere and over the years I’ve used Cappuccino Jars, baby food jars and even coffee cans!

A few months ago I ran across these little Wine Bottles and it hit me that ….  it’s the perfect size for a Halloween Treat and … the colors match the Witches Brew Designer Series Paper.  As you can imagine …. instead of asking everyone for their cappuccino jars I’m asking for their little wine bottles.

12weeksofhalloween01bottle

I used the Halloween Bash Stamp Set with the Crushed Curry and Black Stazon Ink and after I stamped the images I cut them out with the Large Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch and the Decorative Label Punch.

I even decorated the lid to cover up the name and I used the 7/8 Scallop Circle Punch along with the 3/4 Circle Punch.

Here’s a video on how to make the 12 Weeks of Halloween 2013 Week 1

If you’re viewing this in your email it’s possible that the video link has removed and you will need to watch it on my blog.  Remember a few months ago Google announced that Feedburner was going away. You can use Bloglovin or Feedly to replace Feedburner.

Here’s a list of Stampin’ Up! supplies used on the Halloween Bottle:

  • Stamps: Halloween Bash 130577 (W) 130580 (C)
  • Ink:  101406 Jet Black Stazon, 131173 Crushed Curry
  • Card Stock: 132185 Witches Brew DSP – Measures: 6-3/4 x 2-1/2, 131199 Crushed Curry, 101650 Very Vanilla

Here’s a picture of the exact wine bottles … (it just feels wrong posting a wine bottle on a papercrafting blog but … isn’t the project so stinking cute?).

  3. Hi Angie,
The candy bottle is so cute. I have been saving glass wine bottles(tall ones) thinking that someday I will come up with an idea for them. This really helps. My husband thought it would be cool to etch them but I’m not that crafty.
The music was a cool idea too.
    Have a nice day.

I am so excited to see what the next 11 weeks hold. Will there be any cute treats that I can replicate for my sons class that are non-edible? His school does not allow food treats. 140. I love Halloween. Can’t wait to see what you make next and now I’ve got to go to my nearest thrift store and look for small bottles. I keep all my Worcestershire bottles and paint them black, put a white wash on them ( to look spooky), and decorate them. I’m looking for labels now to put on them.
