My card today is another one of my warm up cards that I made while I was creating my cards for Stamp Kit of the Month.
I really liked this card .. the only reason it’s not one of the chosen ones .. is because I decided to go with more masculine colors …. in other words …. colors that work for the dudes in our life.
I stamped the whale image from the Oh, Whale stamp set with Melon Mambo ink and then cut the whale out with the Happy Whale Clearlit.
The Melon Mambo pennant measures 4-1/4 x 1-3/4 and the ribbon is the 1/8 Regal Rose Taffeta.
If you’re on my mailing list .. be on the look out for another Oh, Whale card .. (pictures and instructions will be included)….either later today or tomorrow.
Speaking of my mailing list .. If you’re not sure what you’ve signed up for .. Look at the right side bar of my blog (see picture below) … .. the first box is to receive my blog feed in your email box. What that means is …every day when I post on my blog .. you’ll receive my post in your email box (usually around 3pm). The next box is my Mailing List .. aka Newsletter. I usually send 1 or two a month … depending on what’s happening (some months are super busy).
If you would like to subscribe to my blog posts .. please use the sign up box on the right side bar .. same goes for my newsletter.

p.s. I’m sorry I know some of you are waiting on the video for the Easter Box. It’s been snowing and cloudy here for several days. Since my office is in the basement .. I really need that sun to help out with the lighting. I’ll make it up to you .. with two more versions .. and they just get better and better 🙂
My card today is one of my warm up cards for Stamp Kit of the Month. The cards I’ve chosen are so cute!!!
The Oh, Whale Stamp Set is the Stamp Set of the Month for Stamp Kit of the Month and I just love it!! Especially after I’ve had a chance to play with it all day.
If you look closely you can see where I messed up on this card … but I felt it was still cute enough to share with you (he’s stamped too high on the circle and it has melon mambo ink on his whale tale)!
I used Midnight Muse and Bashful Blue card stock .. with Midnight Muse ink.
The beauty of this card is .. you can use the Happy Whale Clearlit .. if you have it .. and if not you can just stamp the whale in the center of the 2-1/2 Circle.
The Midnight Muse circle you see is cut out with the Perfect Pennants Die .. using the Big Shot Die Cut Machine.
Click here if you’d like more information about my Stamp Kit of the Month Club.

My Easter Blessing Box is the same project I shared with you yesterday (Ears to You Easter Box) and it’s my 2nd attempt at this box! I’ve decided I’m going to make it larger and when I share the video I’ll show you how to make it either size.
I used the Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper to make the box … along with the Sycamore Street Ribbon. A few of you have ask .. when does Sale-a-bration end? March 22nd is the last day so you still have plenty of time to get some FREE stuff!
The Easter Blessing stamp is in the Spring Catalog .. on page 24. I stamped the image using Pool Party ink along with Island Indigo ink and I used the Rock n Roll Technique.
Here’s the supply list for the Easter Blessing Box:

Winter Storm Rocky hit Eastern Kansas in the early hours this morning .. here’s a few pictures ….
My hubby has a big red truck and we went for a spin (deserted roads are good .. last week ….cars were stranded on this road).
I had to share the red light … proof of how the wind was blowing .. as it was snowing!
WOW! The trees look amazing!
Last but not least .. our driveway … the 14 inches of snow from last Thursday .. plus the 6 to 8 we got last night. I say … we’ve checked the box .. and it’s time for Spring!!
No pictures of Miss Bella this time .. she kept me up half the night playing in it …. as it was happening and we’re both exhausted today!
Have a great day!!
My project today is the Ears to You Easter Box.
The Bunnies from the Ears you to Single Stamp may be a little big for this box .. but by the time I figured it out … it was time to move on (laundry and dinner).
I used the Sunshine & Sprinkles Designer Series Paper from the Spring Catalog. And I colored the images with Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Old Olive and Marina Mist Markers and then stamped it onto Whisper White card stock.
I added the handles to the box using the Brights Brads.
This box is large enough to hold a variety of snack size Easter Candy (not just one piece) and since it’s a nice size box I’ll make another one and decorate it a little differently so I can film a video and show you how to make it.
Here’s the Stampin’ Up! supplies for the Ears to You Easter Box:
- Stamps: Ears to You Single #132659
- Markers: 119702 (Brights Collection) Melon Mambo, 119679 Marina Mist, 100079 Old Olive, 119677 Daffodil Delight

Now for some personal stuff .. we’re expecting another snow storm … today and tomorrow. I’m keeping my fingers crossed it misses us!
Let’s talk about the Virtual Birthday Bash .. 2013 is going to be a year that I try a lot of new and different things. I started in December with my Holiday Class … following that came my Sale-a-bration Class. The next one was Definitely Sketches that I launched with two of my Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator friends .. and much like that I’m teaming up with two more demos for our Virtual Birthday Bash. I’m super excited to host an all day event .. online!
Someone ask me a few weeks back ..how do I get these ideas and how do I know how to make them happen. Honestly .. my answer is “I’m not afraid to try” and “I love learning”! I’ve never done an all day online event and of course it’s scary .. but it’s also very exciting!! If you have something you’ve been wanting to do .. just jump in with two feet .. you may be surprised at how well it turns out! (I say that in a joking way .. please do your homework first ..before you jump in!)
Thanks & have a great day!

As promised … here’s some of our Winter Storm Q pictures of Miss Bella .. along with Dave and Chase shoveling (as it was still snowing).
I’m also happy to report I finally saw Miss Bella on the Weather Channel and was able to record it on our DVR … thanks for all the emails and messages!!! It was so much fun hearing from all of you. We were totally cracking up at how many saw her and new who she was before the man even said Miss Bella. (Her new nickname is Rock Star.)
The next picture is a couple days after the snow storm … she still LOVES the snow!
This picture was day one .. after I dried her off ..she just stayed on the towels and went to sleep.
Begging at the door to go back out!!!
That’s it … I have more…. but you get the picture .. lots of snow and Miss Bella loved it!
Let’s hope the next storm ….. headed right for us .. takes a detour around us!!
My project today is the Everybunny Easter Treat and it includes a small bag of Easter Skittles.
The most often ask question the past two weeks has been “what Designer Series Paper am I going to use for Easter?”. My answer is .. I’ll use a combination of Sycamore Street and the Subtles Collection Designer Series Paper Stacks .. I may even use the Brights.
I Love making these little treat holders and it’s a tradition that I use them every year (usually for Halloween) … because they’re so affordable to make. One Sheet of card stock will make three of them!
I used Certainly Celery and cut it at 8-1/2 x 2-3/4 and added a piece of card stock that measures 2-1/2 x 3-1/2.
I colored the bunny from the Everybunny stamp set with the Aqua Painter .. using Certainly Celery, Baja Breeze and Pink Pirouette. I think I’ll make another using Wisteria Wonder (another color that’s retiring soon …. I’ll miss it!).
Click here if you’d like to watch a video tutorial for an older version of this Treat Holder.
Next subject .. YES.. Miss Bella was on the Weather Channel last night and this morning!! I missed it both times .. but it was her. I filmed a few videos yesterday and submitted it to them and can you believe they showed it? She’s so stinking cute!!
Here’s a picture of her … she was so tired she couldn’t move off the towels when I finished drying her off! The funny thing is .. now she comes in and just stands on the towel waiting for me to get those snowballs off her (not an easy job!!!).
Click here if you’d like to watch her video on iWitness.
Thanks for all the well wishes yesterday!! I feel much better and Thank God Dave was home to shovel the foot of snow we got yesterday!! Today we’re going to get Brooke from school and help dig her car out of the parking lot. I’ll share some pictures on my blog this weekend.
Here’s the supply list for the Everybunny Treat Holder:
- Stamps: Everybunny – 122705 Wood – 122707 Clear

Thanks & have a great weekend!!
Double whammy day .. we’re getting major snow .. and I’m SICK!
I won’t go into all the details .. just wanted to let you know .. I won’t be working today!! I’ll try to check some emails on my laptop but I’m feeling worse instead of better!!
Yesterday I posted that cute little Easter Project and I kept getting really nice emails about how much you loved that project. THANK YOU! It’s like you know exactly when I need positive feedback (who doesn’t when they’re sick?).
Now let’s talk about Miss Bella and the snow (work stuff makes my head hurt worse!!!).
This was the first pic I took of her this morning …
Then .. she decided to see what’s under there?
Next .. would be the picture at the top .. she took off running .. saying “I LOVE SNOW”!
Then .. it was … “I’m FROZE .. I think it’s time to go in”!
She’s currently sleeping!
Have a great day and I hope I see you tomorrow!
p.s. When we get a lot of rain .. or snow .. we lose phone service and internet service .. that means if you email me and you don’t get a response .. please email me again!! I hope we don’t lose power but you never know with this weather (check out the weather channel and take a look at Kansas). One more note .. I get terribly wordy when I don’t feel good ..you may see me rambling on Facebook ..since I have a hard time doing just nothing!!
There have been a few questions about Definitely Sketches … so let me answer them here.
