Remember on Monday when I said I had several cards to show you .. my rejects for Stamp Kit of the Month? Well, I’m questioning myself .. why didn’t I choose yesterdays card .. or today’s card? I look at both of them now and I like them…. a lot!! I guess you can chalk it up to not feeling a 100%.
I’m feeling much better ….. thanks for all the well wishes!! But I’m still not myself .. I told my doctor yesterday it could be this yucky weather we’re having. She ordered some blood work anyway .. just to check and make sure nothing is up.
Now let’s talk about the card ..
On Monday I shared with you the simple Paper Doilies card .. and one of the things that drove me crazy was that it was very muted … so …. after playing with it for a couple hours I found a solution. Just punch a 2-1/2 Whisper White circle and add it behind the Doilie. You could always stamp on the white card stock and place it on top of the Doilie ….. but I like the muted look of stamping directly on the Paper Doilies.
I used Lucky Limeaid card stock and I embossed it with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder and I sponged the edges of all the layers to give it a distressed look.
I used a post it note to cover up the “oh” and I inked up “Hello” with the Lucky Limeaid ink pad and then stamped it on the piece I cut out with the Labels Collection Framelits.
The Oh, Hello stamp set is the set for February and I wanted to use the Paper Doilies from the Spring Catalog. You’ll see several of my attempts over the coming days (each card had a different reason for why it wasn’t chosen).
I like this card because I LOVE 4-1/4 x 4-1/4 cards …. but some people do not.
I colored the flower with the So Saffron & Lucky Limeaid Markers and then stamped it right on to the Paper Doilie and I attached it to Very Vanilla card stock. I tried it on Whisper White card stock first and then decided I liked it better on Vanilla.

It’s Tuesday and that’s means it’s Digital Download Day for MDS2. Click here to view all the additions for today (they’re super cute!!!!).
My project today is the same one I shared with you on Friday .. except this one is using all Sale-a-bration product from the Sale-a-bration Catalog.
I used the Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper .. along with the Sycamore Street Ribbon. Don’t you love the Sycamore Street name .. that’s why I said “Come take a walk down Sycamore Street” for my Sale-a-bration Class.
I used the Vintage Verses stamp set … also in the Sale-a-bration Catalog with Rich Razzleberry ink.
Speaking of the Sale-a-bration Catalog .. I’m sorry I had failed to post it on my blog .. you can now view it on the right side bar.
For the handle I used a 3/4 Circle Punch .. and the greeting I cut out with the 1-1/4 Circle Punch and backed it with a Summer Starfruit 1-3/8 Circle.
Accessories: 119861 Circle Punch 1-1/4, 119860 Circle Punch 1-3/8, 119873 Circle Punch 3/4, 130812 Sycamore Street Ribbon, 104430 Stampin Dimensionals
Here’s the video tutorial for the Two Tags Valentine Treat …. (If you subscribe to my blog through email … I’m sorry the video is removed.. please visit my blog to see it. This was not a choice I made …it was made by the company that does the feed.)
The one below .. was my warm up version .. and what drove me crazy about this one was you can see the other side of the Designer Series Paper. I love having two sided Designer Series Paper ..but personally I wish they coordinated.
I also used the Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper on this one .. along with the Pretty Petites Stamp Set and the Petite Curly Label Punch.
My mistakes on this one was the hole for the handle was too large (I used a 1″ Circle Punch) and the tag is too small next to that handle.
Here’s the Stampin’ Up! Supply List:
Stamps: 129639 Wood 129642 Clear Pretty Petites
Ink: 126950 Rich Razzleberry
Card Stock: 127540 Sycamore Street, 100730 Whisper White
Accessories: 119868 Circle Punch 1″, 129405 Petite Curly Label Punch, 109070 White Taffeta Ribbon, 104430 Stampin Dimensionals
Congrats Julie Haupt !! You were the winner for the Blog Candy I posted on Friday. Please email Julie (my assistant) your address and she’ll get it in the mail to you asap.
My project today is the Two Tags Valentine Treat and it was inspired by one of the gifts that my downline sent me during the Holidays.
When I was putting together my Sale-a-bration Class …. I was obsessed with finding projects I could make with a 6 x 6 sheet of Designer Series Paper! I was shocked at how easy it was to come up with twelve projects ….I think I could have done twenty .. but I wanted to keep it affordable for everyone!
I did not include this project in the class because …. it was so stinkin cute using the More Amore Designer Series Paper. I’ll share the one I made with the Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper next week. I’ll also share a video tutorial next week.
This project holds a small snack size box of Nerds …but it will also hold the snack size box of JuJubes or Mike and Ike (you get them in the assorted bag of candy ..you can see them on Amazon).
I used the That’s the Ticket stamp set with Real Red ink and then cut the image out with the Ticket Duo Builder Punch.
This project is another quick and simple project that you can make a bunch …..if you’re in a hurry.
