Working on my 12 Days of Christmas today

I just wanted to say hello  and let you know I’ve been busy filming videos for the 12 Days of Christmas.

Tomorrow is the first of December and I plan on wrapping up this series before Christmas!!

Here’s a couple reminders …

  • Stampin’ Up! Spring Catalog starts Jan. 3rd, 2013 and I’ll be sending you a FREE copy if you’ve ordered a minimum of $50 in the last 12 months.  Please log in to your account and make sure I’m listed as your demonstrator.  If you’ve ordered from someone else it removes you from my database and puts you over there (I’d be happy to do it …but … the system will not let me make any changes to your online account).
  • Sale-a-bration Catalog starts Jan. 22nd, 2013 – same thing … if you’ve ordered a minimum of $50 in the last 12 months I’ll be sending you a copy for FREE.
  • Holiday Catalog ends on Jan 2nd 2013  … make sure you take a quick look before it retires… the good news some of the items are carrying over (you’ll see when you get your Spring Catalog).

Have a great weekend and I’ll see you on Monday with another one of my 12 Days of Christmas projects.

Stampin Up 12 Days of Christmas #2 2012

The Snowflake Gift Bag is the 2nd project for my 12 Days of Christmas.

This project is super simple to make and can hold a snack size bag of candy …  you could also use marshmallows or yogurt covered pretzels.  If you use marshmallows you could label it as Snowman Kisses.

To make this project ….. all you need is a piece of Snow Festival Designer Series Paper that measures 8-1/2 x 3 and you score it at 2-3/4, 4-1/2 & 7-1/8.

I used the Snow Flurry Die that’s in the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog …  and cut two piece out of the Whisper White card stock and attached a Vintage Faceted Button in the middle with a Mini Glue Dot

I used Whisper White Bakers Twine for the little bow in the middle …or you could use a Basic Pearl.

Here’s the video on how to make the Snowflake Gift Bag

Cyber Monday reminder – Don’t forget that my Cyber Monday Special offering ends at midnight tonight. Click here for all the details.

Congrats Tammy Hein … your name was drawn to win the Tags til Christmas Altoid Tin Gift Card Holder.  Please send me your address so I can ship it out to you ([email protected]).

Thanks & have a great day!

p.s. Once again I’ll be drawing a name to win today’s project …and if you haven’t already figured it out …yes I’m giving away all 12 projects this year (I’m working on not keeping everything).

To enter to win today’s project .. I have a question I’d like you to honestly answer.  I’m going to be streaming live again on UStream …. more frequently!  So my question is …  how would you feel about donating a small fee to watch … maybe $2?   UStream charges $99 a month and that’s more than I can afford ….. but if half of the participates donated $2 …. then it should cover it.   Let me know what you think.

Stampin Up 12 Days of Christmas #1 2012

The Tags til Christmas Altoid Tin Gift Card Holder is the 1st project for my 12 Days of Christmas.

You saw this project a few days ago because it’s my Black Friday Cyber Monday Special offering.  Click here for the details on how you can get one for FREE.

The Altoid Tins are the perfect size to hold a Gift Card or a Visa Debit Card!

I embossed the Real Red card stock with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder and after I attached it to the lid I sprayed it with Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint mixed with alcohol.

Speaking of shimmer paint….  How much shimmer paint do you need?  I fill a small spray bottle 3/4 of the way and then pour in about a teaspoon of shimmer paint.  That’s it!  Just make sure you shake it each time before you use it.

I stamped the image from the Tags til Christmas Stamp set with Early Espresso ink and cut it out with the 1″ square punch … you can see all my tips and tricks on my video tutorial.

Thanks is for giving

My card today is one that I created this morning and I guess you could say it’s my Thanksgiving card this year.

I used the Seasonal Sayings stamp set that can be found in the Holiday Catalog on page 34.  I stamped it with Early Espresso ink onto Very Vanilla card stock and then cut it out with the Apothecary Accents Framelits.  (Don’t you love the framelits?)

The paper is the Orchard Harvest Designer Series Paper also in the Stampin Up Holiday Catalog on page 28.

Before I attached the greeting to the card with Stampin Dimensionals I added the More Mustard Brads on each end.  You can find the More Mustard brads in the Regals on page 174 of the main Stampin Up! catalog.

Here’s a dirty version …… sponging on the edges with More Mustard ink.  I also used the Essentials Paper Piercing Pack with the Paper Piercing Tool and left off the brads.

I’ve been working on my Chic n Scratch Photo Gallery the past two days and I took a few minutes to look back at some of my older projects …..and ….. it reminded me that 4-1/4 x 4-1/4 cards have always been my most favorite.  They’re simple quick and easy (do all those words mean the same thing?) and are so much easier to make!

Over the next few weeks I’ll be updating my Photo Galleries with more recent photos ..the ones you see there now were transferred from my old blog.  I can’t wait to have all my photos in one location!!!

Here’s the Stampin Up! supply list for my Thanks is for giving Card:

  • Stamps:  Seasonal Sayings – Wood #128006 Clear #128009
  • Ink:  More Mustard #126964, Early Espresso #126974
  • Card Stock:  Very Vanilla (4-1/4 x 8-1/2 scored at 4-1/4) #101650, Orchard Harvest DSP (4 x 4) #126895
  • Tools & Accessories:  Regals Brads #119737, Essentials Paper Piercing Pack #126187, Stampin Pierce Mat #126199, Paper Piercing Tool #126189, Stampin Dimensionals #104430, Sponges #101610

Don’t forget the Texture Boutique Embossing Machine is available while supplies last (there was a slight issue with ordering but it’s been resolved).

The Online Extravaganza is taking place between Nov. 19th – 28th and be sure to check out my blog on Thanksgiving for my Black Friday and Cyber Monday special.

I’ll be doing my Thanksgiving shopping tomorrow (last minute Angie) and unless there’s something major happening you will not see a blog post.

Thanks & Have a Happy Thanksgiving!!

Photo Gallery

Quick question for ya …..

My new Photo Gallery is all set up and ready to go … but I’m trying to figure out how to go forward.

The choices are:

  • Chronological order (broken into months)
  • Categories (Cards or 3D)

If I get too specific then I’ll have a lot of galleries….and I already have a bunch that were transferred from my old site.

If I keep it simple will be easier to maintain.

When you’re looking at a photo gallery …how would you like to see it?

You can take a look at my old galleries by clicking on Photo Gallery under my banner.
