Team Chic n Scratch

Just a quick note to say I’ve been working on Team Chic n Scratch things for most of the day.

I want to explain a few things because I know it’s confusing some of you.

When I don’t stamp or post a project on my blog ….  it may seem as though I’m not working ….. but instead I’m working on other things .. like my Team Chic n Scratch incentives. Or ….another program I’m starting (two are in the pipeline and I’m super excited!!!!).

Another example ….. if you see me on Facebook … and think I’m working .. I may not be.  I OFTEN use Facebook at doctors offices, while I’m cooking …even in the bath (I know scary thought but what can I say … I like to multitask).

So, if you see me on Facebook or Pinterest … please know that I may doing that on my personal time and I’m not ignoring you .. I’m just not working.  I appreciate all of you and I want you to know that I’ve never ignore you on purpose .. I’ve just learned that I have to set limits or other wise I’d work myself to death .. just kidding …you know what I mean…don’t you?

Gotta run … have a good night!!

Chic Appreciation for August

The August winners are:

  • Julie Spielman
  • Michael Dyches

I’m mailing the For the Birds stamp set along with the card kit today (instructions on how to assemble the cards are in the package).

Here’s how my Chic Appreciation works …

  • Each month (July, August and Sept) the person that spends the highest amount with me (I see how some of you are ordering two and three times a month) will get the Stamp Kit of the Month for free (includes Stamp set and all the supplies to make six cards + envelopes ….. kit does not include ink or adhesive).
  • Each month I’ll draw one name (from everyone that orders places an online order with me) to also get a Stamp Kit of the Month. (Name will be drawn using Random Generator website.)

My card today is from Alicia and she participated in my card swap a few months back.  Isn’t it a lovely card?  I love it and in person it’s much prettier than my picture!!

She used the Ornament Keepsakes stamp set in the Holiday Catalog and when we were at Founders Circle we took a tour where the stamps are made in Kanab, Utah …..and ….  one of the gentlemen there told us that this was the number one selling stamp set right now.  I think the Holiday Ornament sure helped!!

Here’s a picture of the inside…..

Holiday Window Sheet Jar

The Holiday Window Sheet Container was one of the gifts that Jill gave me at Founders Circle and …. it inspired me to make the Halloween version for my 12 Weeks of Halloween.

Don’t you just LOVE it?  When I got home I wanted to make one just like it …but I didn’t have all the supplies .. so I made a Halloween one.

Many of you have ask … what if I don’t have any of the button and brad containers (I envy those of you that don’t hold on to everything).  You can use Mason Jar lids … for the top and bottom.  If you look back on the picture I shared with you at Founders … that one was using the Mason Jar lids.  Click here to view it.

She used the Make a Mitten stamp set along with the Mitten Builder Punch ….both can be found in the Holiday Catalog.  The “joy at Christmas” is from the Perfect Punches stamp set and that set is sometimes overlooked because it’s in the Elements section of the Stampin Up Catalog.

She used the Be of Good Cheer Designer Series Paper … along with Gumball Green Sweater Trim.  Don’t you love the little pom pom on top?

Stampin Up! supply list for the Holiday Window Sheet Jar:

  • Stamps: Make a Mitten – Wood #127940 Clear #127943, Perfect Punches – Wood #117022 Clear #120516
  • Ink: Gumball Green #126861, Cherry Cobbler #126966
  • Card Stock: Window Sheets #114323, Be of Good Cheer DSP #126896, Very Vanilla #101650
  • Tools/Accessories: 1-3/4 Scallop Circle Punch #119854, 2-1/2 Circle Punch #120906, 1-3/8 Circle Punch #119860, Mitten Builder Punch #127824, Gumball Green Sweater Trim #127838, Lucky Limeaid Bakers Twine #125572, Mini Glue Dots #103683, Sticky Strip #104294, Dimensionals #104430

Have a wonderful weekend and I’ll see ya next week!

p.s. I’m still playing catch up …. if you sent me an email and I’ve not replied .. please email me again [email protected] My email was down for a couple days and I’m not sure if those emails came across of if they were lost in la la land.

12 Weeks of Halloween Week 5 2012

The Window Sheet Jar is the fifth project for my 12 Weeks of Halloween.

I used the Window Sheets along with the Buttons and Brads container for the lid and the bottom of the jar. (I’ve been saving my empty containers for a long time!!)

The candy and owl image are from the Spooky Bingo Bits stamp set and I stamped them with Pumpkin Pie ink.

After you assemble the container you’ll add your candy and then tie the Taffeta Ribbon around it.

For this project you’ll need Sticky Strip for sure!!

Here’s the video tutorial on the 12 Weeks of Halloween Week 5 2012 (if video is not present in your feed ….please visit my site to see it).

Click here to download the pdf instructions.

Here’s a list of the Stampin Up! supplies I used on the Window Sheet Jar:

  • Stamps:  Spooky Bingo Bits – Wood #123944 Clear #123946
  • Ink:  Pumpkin Pie #126945
  • Card Stock:  Window Sheets #114323, Whisper White #100730, Daffodil Delight #119683, Polka Dot Parade Designer Series Paper #126902
  • Tools/Accessories:  1″ Square Punch #124094, Postage Stamp Punch #122344, 2-1/2 Circle Punch #120906, Mini Glue Dots #103683, Sticky Strip #104294, Dimensionals #104430, Pumpkin Pie Taffeta Ribbon #119253, Daffodil Delight Taffeta Ribbon #119254

I’d like to thank Jill for sharing this project with me at Founders Circle!!!

I hope you’re enjoying my 12 Weeks of Halloween!!

Stamp Club in Overland Park Kansas

I’m having Stamp Club for my local customers today …. and I wanted to drop in real fast and show you a sneak peek at my next 12 Weeks of Halloween project.

I was all prepared to show you Week five when I returned …but …plans have changed!!  (Previously planned week five will move to week six and we’ll be caught up.)

I LOVE the project I’m sharing with you TOMORROW … here it is…..

I had so much fun making this project and I can’t wait to show the ladies how to make it at Stamp Club!!

As for the project shown yesterday .. I’m still working on it!!  I don’t know who made it and I’m not sure who to ask … I’ll figure it out eventually .. I just need a bit more time.  As soon as I do … you will see it on my blog (maybe altered a little).

Have a great day and I’ll see ya tomorrow!

p.s. If you filled your Reward Punch Card last week during my Double Points offering .. please send me your form and I’d be happy to order your FREE stamp set.

Petal Cone Halloween Triangle Box

I’m sharing with you the Petal Cone Halloween Triangle Box that I saw at Founder’s Circle last week… isn’t it cute?

You’ll need the Petal Cone Bigz Die #121810 to make it … and that’s about all I know right now…. but I’m going to try to figure out how to make it for Stamp Club tomorrow.  (Ladies, if we make something else you know I failed at figuring it out).

I can tell you that the hat is from the Spooky Bingo Bits Stamp set (Wood #123944 Clear #123946) and the Happy Halloween is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set (Wood #115370 Clear #127802). The colors are Whisper White, Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie.

I had a FANTASTIC time as Founders Circle!!

Here’s a picture of me at Stampin Up! in Kanab … the facility where they make all our stamps.

Over the next two days I’ll be playing catch up and getting ready for local Stamp Club.

Thanks for your patience the last couple weeks!!!   I think everything with my site will be okay from here on out and if you have any trouble please let me know.  Again, I thank you ladies for emailing me!!  I could try to explain everything that happened but we’d all be scratching our heads saying what did all that mean…. I trust those guys and I’m happy all is well!

Have a great day!!!
