Today's the day ….Brooke moves into her college dorm!
The past few days we've been running around trying to get everything ready ….I thought we were ready last week …turns out ….NOT!
I'm sorry I haven worked the past couple days. On one hand I'm stressed about that and on other my family will always be my priority. I'm sure most of you totally understand (thank you!!).
Have a wonderful weekend and I'll see you on Monday!!
P.S. Brooke said "do not post that picture on Facebook". I said "okay"….my blog is not Facebook 🙂
Good luck Brooke!!!!these are exciting times! ….and hang in there mom!
Your Daughter is very pretty and I know you are very proud of her. I have sent two children off to college and I know how stressed you are. Brooke is going to be fine. Mom hang in there and the week-end will come fast and maybe she can come home. Love and Best Wishes to you BOTH.
I’ve been there, too. For me it was more of a sense of loss that our family dynamic of 18 years was never going to be the same again. I knew our son was ready to go and would do great, but I was mourning the change in the daily routine of the family. My wish for you is that she is happy on campus, it makes it so much easier on us at home!
I don’t know which is worse the first day of kindergarten or the first day of college!? My oldest (whom we thought wouldn’t have a problem being away from home) was the worst one, she just cried her eyes out and then that got me started! Hope your days get easier for you.
You are so hilarious! Yah, your blog isn’t Facebook! Ha! I don’t know why she’s objecting, she’s a beauty! Hope you both get used to the routine and that she does well.
I know how it is to send them off to college. You are never ready even if it seems like you are. I sent all 3 off to college. It gets easier when the last one is beginning college and then they are all done and graduated. I enjoyed the picture that is not on facebook. Beautiful daughter. Enjoy your new adventure in your life also. This is a new step for you just as much as for Brooke. Love your blog!! I am so glad I found you.
Someone once told me,
“Never apoliogize for taking care of your family. Your family is always your first priority”
It was/is still the best advise I ever got from a 90 yr old grandma.
