My title today is a little funky …I wasn't sure how to word it ….but here's what it means …. I created the background with a Clear Block (letter C). I applied Pear Pizzazz ink to the Clear Block and then stamped it onto my Whisper White card stock. Next I applied Early Espresso ink to the Faith in Nature image and then stamped it.
I've wanted to show you how to create a background with a clear block technique for a while but I was saving it for some new stamps. I'll work on filming a video today …but it may not be ready until tomorrow or Saturday (our internet connection keeps coming and going today and we may have to call someone). I'll post some additional cards when I post the video .
Here's a few more cards …. and a group shot.
These cards measure 3 x 3 and I used the Button Buddies stamp set with the Merry Winter stamp set for the winter card. I used Baja Breeze ink.
The final card I'm sharing today is using Pool Party ink with the Workshop Words stamp set that we were given at Convention. If we attended five classes we got this set free. I was thrilled!! I almost didn't get it because I didn't feel well this year and I had to skip a few classes …but on the final day I rallied and went to all my classes to complete my five.
Now for a little story for you …I love telling stories …must be the southern girl in me!!
Many years ago I went to my first Stampin Up Convention in Orlando and I was so excited about going ….but the one item I couldn't wait to get was the little stamp that was included in the lunch box. So, everyday I rushed to get my lunch box and turns out that's the year they stopped doing that. I still crack up about that!! Turns out I won Prize Patrol that year and the gift was really awesome …so I guess it made up for it.
Have a great day!!
p.s. Don't forget to make sure your address is correct on my Stampin Up! site by noon tomorrow (Friday) see details on previous post.
I am so glad I bought the clear blocks. They’re uses seem endless. I will definitely try this technique.

What a fabby idea – as a ‘mostly wood’ girl, my blocks are a bit unloved, so now I am off to stamp with them.
Thank you Angie! X
What a simple and cool technique – the effect is beautiful! tfs…(the blocks are still on my wish list – I want the whole set AND case! lol!
