I shared this picture and ask if they’d like a Virtual Drag Around Rag Quilt Class and I’m happy to report that it’s in the works.
I’m really enjoying using Facebook along with my blog ….Click here if you’d like to become a Fan of my Chic n Scratch Fan Page. I accept friends on my regular account but I share very little on the personal side …if you want the scoop ..it’s better to become a fan of my Fan Page.
If I reach 3,000 fans by Tuesday …I’m going to draw 5 names to win the Virtual Drag Around Quilt Class for FREE.
Looking ahead to Next Week:
Stampin” Up! Last Chance Stamp List (or Retiring Stamps list) will be available June 1st.
My project today is the Pretty Postage Box and it's a nice size box to give a Birthday treat!
I used the Pretty Postage Stamp set with Baja Breeze ink and I cut the image out with the Postage Stamp Punch. The box was made with Whisper White card stock & I covered it with the Baja Breeze Designer Paper.
It measures 4-1/8 x 4-1/8 and it's almost 2" inside. Here's a picture …..
I'm working on a video for you and hopefully should have it ready tomorrow …. I'll show you a different color and a matching card.
Have a great day!!
Stamps: Pretty Postage (Wood 123095 Clear 123097)
Ink: Baja Breeze (111833), Basic Black Marker
Card stock: Whisper White (100730), Baja Breeze (111352)
Designer Series Paper: Subtles Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack (117152)
Tools & Accessories: Postage Stamp Punch (122344), Dimensionals (104430), 1-3/8 Square Punch (119788), Paper Cutter (104152) with Scoring Blade (104154)
I have lots of thank you cards to make so my card today is one that I created using the Pretty Postage Stamp set from the Summer Mini Catalog.
I colored the image with the Old Olive & Basic Black Marker and then cut it out with the Postage Stamp Punch. I added a Dimensional to the back and layered it onto a 1-3/8 Square from the 1-3/8 Square Punch.
Here's the supply list:
Pretty Postage stamp set – Wood #123095 Clear #123097
On this box I used the Charming stamp set with the Butterfly Prints stamp set …both with Early Espresso ink. I used the 2-3/8 Scallop punch with the 1-3/4 Circle Punch ….and ….the Butterfly Punch :) Don't you love the little Pearls I added to the Butterfly (I got that idea from Belinda's card).
Next week I'll take a picture of the two different sizes …side by side so you can see the difference.
Here's the supply list:
Charming stamp set #116519
Butterfly Prints stamp set – Wood #121049 Clear #120738
My Strength & Hope Shadow Box is really pretty in person! But you couldn't add anything to the inside ……so I created a different version so you could add a trinket or some candy.
The supplies are the same ….including the Window Sheet...only difference is …. I attached the images to the top instead of the bottom. If you watched the video … you saw that I placed the background image on the bottom ….but ….. on this box I added it right behind the window sheet. The H/hope is popped up with a Dimensional right on top of the Window Sheet.
I made the Very Vanilla Strength & Hope Bitty Box …..after making the Baja Breeze version.
And you won't believe it but I have another version for tomorrow :) You may like it better because it doesn't use the Big Shot Die Cut Machine. And instead of using the H/hope … you'll see another alternatrive.
You can see the Supply list for my Bitty Box on the Strength & Hope Shadow Box post below …the only difference is the color of card stock. Instead of Pink Pirouette I used Very Vanilla on one and Baja Breeze on the other.
Regarding UStream on Saturday ….I'm sorry but I can't do it just yet. Although Chase is doing great …he still can't put any weight on his leg and that means I'm his legs for now….and it's unpredictable around here.
Here's some good news ….he took his final exam at home yesterday and he's officially completed high school. Congrats Chase!!! It's amazing ….he started the elementary school at age three …I'll never forget that little yellow bus picking him up that first day …it still brings tears to my eyes 🙂
Have a great day & I'll see you tomorrow!
p.s. Here's a picture of the Free Kit I'm offering right now, click here for all the details.
How would you like to get a free kit to make this Strength & Hope Shadow Box?
Starting today May 18th – May 28th ….everyone that places a minimum order of $35 will receive a kit to make this box.
The Video is available for free on my Chic n Scratch Live! site and pdf instructions will be provided in a link. Kit includes all the supplies to make one box ….it does not include embossing or stamped images. (Kits will be mailed around June 1st.)
Why am I having this special in the middle of May? It's my Stampin Up cruise special. This coming week is the Stampin Up cruise to Alaska and although I earned it …we can't go because Chase graduates high school this weekend.
Here's the details for my Strength & Hope Shadow box ….. I used the Bitty Box Die to cut the box out and then embossed the top with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder.
All the images are from the Strength & Hope stamp set that's on the last page of the Summer Mini Catalog. I stamped all of them with Early Espresso ink.
This idea came to me because I have some friends that walk every year for the Breast Cancer Race for a Cure and they're always looking for cute little gifts to pass out to their sponsors. I thought this cute little shadow box would be perfect!!
Tomorrow I'll share with you a different version of the Bitty Box … just in case you want to add a little treat inside. Here's a picture of the inside …..

This is my warm up card using the Fabulous Florets stamp set ….and I bet some of you will like this card better than the first one I showed you. I'm not sure why I like yesterdays card better … I just do 🙂
I used Crumb Cake card stock for the based of the card and I embossed it with the Framed Tulips Embossing Folder.
The "thinking of you" greeting came from the On the Grow stamp set and I attached the Crumb Cake Seam Binding with a Mini Glue Dot.
Here's the Supply list:
