I figured it's time I do some explaining so that everyone knows the whole story. Before I begin…..I'm sorry I didn't post all the details sooner!! I try to keep my blog professional and & keep the personal stuff to a minimum….in my attempts to do that I've not only confused you all but myself as well. (Some of you already know the whole story and in my mind because a few know ……everyone knows….in blogging sometimes that's the case).
So, in October I injured myself at the gym. When it all began…I thought it was a sinus infection because I was also feeling sick. (Turns out I was dealing with two issues…not one.) After the chest xrays I was told I had a pulled muscle (huge knot between my neck and shoulder….made sense at the time). For two weeks straight I took pain meds, muscle relaxers and steriods….and bought a new pillow. But the pain would not go away…in fact it was getting worse.
So, I went to a different doctor and it turns out ….I pulled my 1st rib out and my levator muscle is what's been giving me TROUBLE! I've been in and out of the doctors office, she had to put a sling on my arm so that I wouldn't use the left side of my body. I've taken off the sling (removed it Sunday)…but I still have to limit how much I use my left side and still no lifting or house cleaning …because every movement I make…uses that muscle. (That also means the 8 quilts I was making for Christmas will not happen.)
I'm explaining all this because I'm a tad behind…maybe even more than a tad and I'm going as fast as I can…but it's 7:30 now and I've been working since 7am and the pain has arrived….that means it's time to shut it down.
If you're new to my blog.. sorry to be such a downer…I promise this isn't the normal.
If you sent me an email asking about my arm….sorry I didn't reply. Because I've been typing one handed for more than a week…I put those off. Let me just say …..I love my left arm and had no idea how much I used it!!!
Thanks for caring and listening!!
Have a good night 🙂

Thanks & have a great day!!
I received this darling box from Colleen. It's the perfect project to post on Thanksgiving day! Don't you just love it?
She used the Top Tall Note Box for the box and the Oval is from the Frame, Oval Scallop Die #114521. She embossed it with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder #120175 And, you can use the Two-Step Bird punch #117191for the leaves or the Leaves #2 Die #113459.
I'm so thankful for all of you and I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving!!
p.s. Tune in later for my Black Friday & Cyber Monday Special (will post it around 1am Friday morning…central time).
Change of plans…since I'm using one arm/hand to craft…..I needed an easier Blessing Mix to make for Thanksgiving. I had already filled the Small Cello bags with the Blessing Mix …. so I was looking for something to put them in that wouldn't require me to do much.
I came up with a Scallop Circle Sandwich :) Kinda reminds me of an Oreo cookie. If I could….I would have added a cut out image …like a leaf or something….oh well ….calling it done.
I used the Scallop Circles #2 die and cut out two Early Espresso scallops per bag and I taped the cello bags to the circles.
Would you like a laugh? I could have or should have passed on making the blessing mix this year (because of my sling) but the ingredients to make these things are not cheap….so I felt I had to make them or otherwise all those Bugles, candy corn, pretzels, peanuts and orange slices would go to waste. And after I finished making them…it occurred to me that I could have dumped all those ingredients into a big bowl…. printed the poem & slide it in a picture frame and set it out like that…I can see it in my mind…but I'll have to try it to see if I really like the idea (maybe next year).
Thanks for stopping by!!
p.s. One last time …before it strikes midnight….. Happy Birthday Chase!!
I started this Reindeer Food tin Saturday on UStream. But I didn't finish it…until later.
The Reindeer is from the Sparkly & Bright stamp set # 115346 and I stamped it with Early Espresso ink #119670 and then colored his nose with the Cherry Cobbler marker #119681. I applied Crystal Effects #101055 to his nose to make it shine 🙂
I added the Silver Tinsel Trim #120994 around the lid using Mini Glue Dots #103683.
Magic Reindeer Food is Oatmeal and cookie sprinkles (some use glitter instead of cookie sprinkles).

p.s. my left arm is in a sling …..I'm typing one handed. it's Thanksgiving week…..tomorrow is Chase's 18th birthday. Long story short….. I'll return to my regular working hours next week …I'm praying the sling will be gone!! See ya 🙂
