Candy Bar Holder

Spirits candy bar
My project today is a Hershey Candy Bar Holder.  This idea has been around longer than I have.  In fact when I showed it to one of my girlfriends last week she reminded me of the popcorn bag holder we made usng the Halloween Hedgehogs ….around 6 years ago (I need to find that sample…I know I still have it).

To get the candy bar out all you do is lift the ribbon…..I'm working on a video & hopefully it will be ready this evening.

For this one I wanted it to be quick & easy….many of us are in a hurry and and when I looked at the Nite Owl Designer Paper I knew I could make some projects really fast!  If you wanted to add some color you could use markers and color the image.

Catch up day :)

Today is going to be what I call an office day…..unfortunately that means no stamping.

Here’s just a few of the items on my To Do List:

  • Finalize the details for our first Team gathering on UStream (for tonight).
  • Catch up on emails (in box has 831 emails).
  • Finish details for 12 weeks of Christmas campaign (if you’re already on my mailing list….no need to rejoin).
  • Work on Week 8 of my 12 weeks of Halloween (I should have done these in advance…but you know there’s never enough time).
  • Finish cutting for Free Kit offered while I was at Founders Circle.
  • Addressing evelopes for my Free card of the month.

A few of you have ask…..would I stream live one day so that you can see what a day in my life is like…..and the answer is YES!  But …not until I’m complete with organizing my room and I lose at least 20 more pounds :)  My goal for my room is Dec. 30th and I think I may finish early. One side of my room is done and I’m thrilled….the other side looks like a tornado went through it.

The reason I’m posting all this instead of a stamped project is we all need help in different areas. I told someone at Founders that I liked getting comments on my blog that it was one of the hightlights of my day…but I realized later….it’s not about the comments so much has just knowing that I helped somone.  (I hope I worded that right).

I’ll see you tomorrow….have a great day!!

Greeting Card Kids Box

Greeting card kids

We made this darling box on Saturday during my live stream on UStream.   I used the Greetings Card Kids stamp set with the Elegant Soiree Designer Paper.

I colored the image with Soft Suede, Baja Breeze, Crumb Cake, Pear Pizzazz & Soft Suede markers on Very Vanilla card stock.  Don't you love the the new Antique Brads?

Greeting Card kid box

The last time you saw this box I called it the Sweet Pea Candy Box, click here if you'd like to see that video.  Or you can click here to watch the recorded version on UStream.  But if you'd like to wait I should have my You Tube video ready this evening or no later than tomorrow.

If you ordered my Halloween Kit, you should have received the link to the Instructions over the weekend….if you did not…please let me know.  I need to double check but I think I have three kits left if anyone is interested.

Very Vintage 12 x 12 Box

Crumb Cake Box

I can only take credit for half of this box!!  Yesterday I uploaded my Spider Box video and I needed a new box to show today since I've already shown the spider one several times.

So, I went to my stash of boxes & found an undecorated Crumb Cake box. I set it aside and was going to decorate it this morning ….but all of a sudden it hit me.  The front of the box was the perfect size to just add a card front to it.

I went to my box of Founders Circle swaps and found Mary Anne's beautiful card and it matches perfectly!!

Elegant Box

I also have a few Christmas cards that will work and I can share those with you next week.

Click here if you'd like to see how I made the box (decorated with Spider web) & click here to see how to fray your ribbon.

Have a great day!

Mini Lunch Sack Treat Holder

Joy chocolate treat

Do you hate to throw things away?   For example our buttons or brad containers?  I am always stashing stuff like that away because I know I can find a use for it some day :)  Go with me here…I know some of you can relate!

So, long story short I made this little candy holder out of the leftover piece from the Mini Lunch Sack.  I cut the lunch sack at 4-3/8 for the Treat Bag and the piece leftover is for this project. It holds a gift card perfectly and it will even hold a Ghirardelli chocolate or a Hershey/Kit Kat Bar.

I used Early Espresso card stock with Very Vanilla. I embossed it with the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder and sponged some Soft Suede over it (my replacement for close to cocoa or creamy caramel).  Next I sponged some Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint over it.

The "Joy at Christmas" is from the Perfect Punches stamp set & I stamped it twice. I punched the center out with the 1-1/4 Circle Punch & added it with a Dimensional.  Did you see the little pearl?

I've made a video on how to make the one for my Halloween Class, click here if you'd like to watch it on my Chic n Scratch Live! website.

Here's the version I shared on UStream.

Halloween Bingo

Halloween Bingo

Stamp club was yesterday & we made these Halloween Bingo cards out of the Nite Owl Designer Paper from the Holiday Mini Catalog.

I love Bingo!!! & it's one of few games that I can win….seriously!!  If you're a fan of Bingo too and would like to get them…….the Nite Owl Designer Paper has two sheets of this paper that equals to 8 Bingo Boards.

For my Bingo Buttons (is that what they're called) I punched 3/4 squares with the 3/4 square punch and punched 1/2 circles out of the coordinating paper.  I put them in one of our retired Glassine Bags and wrapped the Raven Lace Trim around it.
