Each newsletter will contain a project, the recipe and the instructions.

Isn't the banner cute?  (I'm new at this digital stuff….it's a tad off center among other things but I feel a since of accomplishment because I did it myself!!)

Have a great day & thanks for stopping by!!

Two Tags & a Halloween Card

Good afternoon,

The projects I’m sharing with you today are not my creations. I received all three of them at Convention and I was doing the happy dance when I swapped with these ladies!!

The first project was made by Eva and she used the Two Tags die (page 198, item #115954).    She stamped it with the Holiday Best stamp set and the Little Boo stamp on the “Under $10 page“.   The paper is the Groom Specialty Paper on page 158.

The next project is from Terri and she used the Two Tags die as well.

The next project is the card from Michelle and I love it!!   She used the Halloween Frights stamp set with the Eat, Drink & Be Scary Stamp set.  The cardstock is Basic Gray and she used it with Cast a Spell Designer Paper.   Happy Halloween  can be found in the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.

What’s up……

I'm happy to report the Halloween Kits are finished and ready to be mailed….early :)   I have a few left if you would like to order one.  Click here to see the details or place your order.

I meant to post pictures of Founders Circle all week but there's just not enough hours in the day.  I did create an album and you can view it in two different spots.  Right under my banner you can click on Photo Gallery and then look for Stampin' Up! Founders Circle 2009, click on the first picture and the entire album will appear.  The other spot you can find it is on the right side bar of this blog…just scroll until you find the album.   (I have plans to create a Founders Circle Digital photo album with My Digital Studio but it may take me a while, I'm still playing catch up.)

Here's two photos that you will find in that album….. The first one is of Angie & I ….we share the same name and we dressed alike (total fluke….we did not discuss what we were going to wear).  The best part of Founders Circle was I made friends!!! Angie & I totally clicked like we were sisters 🙂

The next picture is a card that Jill shared with us …it was one of my favorites with the Sweet Centers stamp set.

I have more pictures to add but it may be next weekend before I can get it done.

Downline girls….the kits you've been asking for are available on our team blog…check it out asap….they're available while supplies last.   I'm testing the waters …..and making my 3D kits available for my team members.

This post is all over the place…..forgive me!!

Last subject….Quilted Flowers & My Digital Studio – Local customers & team members.   Stop by on Tuesday 2pm to 5pm to see a demo of each.  RSVP and I'll have the supplies available for you to take home a Quilted Flower. (RSVP…means I just need an hour or so notice.) or Thursday 5pm to 7pm.  (You'll also get to check out my swaps from Founders Circle.)   Sorry for the last minute notice….you will be rewarded if you can make it 🙂

Mini Baskets & Blooms Swap

Good morning!

My project today is what I made to swap with everyone at Founders Circle.  It's the Mini Baskets & Bloom box that I showed you a few weeks ago….I just decorated it a little differently.

Founders Circle 2009 swap

I used the Serene Snowflakes stamp set from the Holiday Mini Catalog and I stamped the snowflake with Bashful Blue Craft Ink and then embossed it with Clear Embossing Powder.   I punched it out with the Jumbo Snowflake Punch & attached a Clear Rhinestone Brad using my Chic Stand and Paper Piercer.  I attached the snowflake to the box using a Mini Glue Dot.

I stamped the small snowflakes on the box with White Craft Ink and sponged the edges with the white ink.  The last step was attaching the Satin Ribbon.

If you decide to use the Jumbo Snowflake punch with the Serene Snowflakes stamp set, they don't line up perfectly (I like it that way!!).  The snowflake that matches the punch is the Simple Snowflake stamp on the Under $10 page

Click here if you'd like to watch a video on how to assemble this Mini Baskets & Bloom box.

Tons of Quilted Flowers :)

Since I'm new to this quilting thing I'm like a kid in a candy store.  The fabric & the sound of the sewing machine….it's all so exciting!  It's just so amazing that I can make these all by myself :)  Once you get started I bet you can't make just one.  So far all I've done is make the flowers…the next step is to add the ribbon.  Once I do that they're finished.  You can add these flowers to your bag, presents & even make hair barrettes.

The fabric in the picture below is Figgy Pudding and I bought the charm packet at Quilters Haven in Olathe, Kansas.  Love the terminology….layer cakes and charm packets.

Here's the picture is of the flower that Jill gave me at Founders Circle.

Sweet Centers

Good morning!

I love the card I'm sharing with you today!!  It was made with the Sweet Centers stamp set & the Chit Chat Rub-ons

Sweet Centers Card

This card was given to me last week and I have a little story for you that will make you laugh.  During Stamp club Monday evening someone ask me how the flower was made.  I was totally clueless……. I searched the dies, the stamp sets & couldn't find it.  Do you know what it is?  I do now…..those flower petals are in the Sweet Centers stamp set.  It's that one piece that I didn't know what it was….I scare myself sometimes.

Here's the supply list for this card:

  • Sweet Centers stamp set #116521
  • Sweet Treat Cups #116802
  • Chit Chat Rub-ons #111804
  • Bermuda Bay Polks Dot Ribbon #115610
  • Celery Cardstock #105125
  • Bermuda Bay Cardstock #115317 & Ink #115655
  • Apricot Appeal Cardstock #105124
  • Melon Mambo Cardstock #115320

Have a great day!!

p.s. I'll post again later today.  I'll announce the winner for my Creative Contest and I'll  post more pictures of my Quilted Flowers (warning….I'm a tad obsessed with making them).  You can make them without sewing …more details soon.

Quilt Flowers & More!!

Good morning!

Today's one of those days that I feel like a Chicken with it's head…you know (hate to say those words…the visual is just not good).  So, look at this picture and then I'll explain.

Quilt Flowers

When I was at Founders Circle, my most favorite thing was I made friends. (Angie I miss you!!!)  Words can't explain how I feel.  I'm so blessed that you all have chosen me to be your demo and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me earn Founders Circle!!  I really hope I earn it every year but if not I'll remember this one fondly!!

Now I'll explain the picture….The Big Shot works with fabric and you can use our Stampin' Up! dies to make all sorts of awesome things.  The flower you see next to the machine uses the Flower Folds die and the center flower is the Circle #2 die.

At Founders Circle my 5th level upline showed us how to make those darling quilted flowers. You can add them to your bags, presents or even squares for your quilts.   I've never quilted and I've never used a sewing machine.  But, you know me….I don't see obstacles I see possibilities.  So, I dug Brooke's sewing machine out of her closet.   The machine is a Janome and it doesn't have a walking foot….but again I don't give up when I set my mind on something.   I'm happy to say it worked and tomorrow I'll post a picture of all the flowers I made last night.  I will admit a bigger and better machine would be easier but for now this is free 🙂

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

p.s. The voting ends for my Creative Contest tomorrow at noon. As well as my special for while I was away (Free kit (minimum order of $50) or Double points on your reward card).

p.s.s. I didn't really explain why I feel like a chicken…..between My Digital Studio, Quilting with the Big Shot and all the awesome projects from Founders I'm on idea overload.  I wish I had more time!!
