Shoebox Swap Card

Davedas card

Good morning!

Today's card is one that we made at the Shoebox Swap on Saturday and this was Daveda's card.   I choose to show her card first for a couple reasons. I've already shown you all these products lately & I think I may use this format of card for my July class….we'll see…… I need to play with my stamps a bit more.

Two of the colors you see on this card will be available Wednesday afternoon (July 1st) and they are Melon Mambo and Crushed Curry.  The designer paper is Razzleberry Lemonade and she used the Flower Fancy stamp set.

I had a few girls ask what's a Shoebox Swap so I thought I would explain it.  How you prepare is almost like a class.  You decide your project and then you cut for everyone and bag the supplies for each person.  You bring all your supplies & instructions and everyone goes from station to station making each project. It's a lot of fun, especially because I get to stamp instead of teach (sitting down and stamping really is therapy).

Thanks for stopping by!!

p.s. Yesterday we put the Wii Fit in my office & Chase, Brooke & I played it all afternoon and last night, we had a blast and laughed so hard.  I can't believe we didn't buy it sooner.  Dave walked downstairs when I was attempting the hola hoop, I think it scared him!  I could really get hooked on this game…..if I could get all these teens outta here!! (Chase has two of his friends are here now ….in my office.)

  1. That’s so strange you mention Wii Fit. I’ve been seriously thinking about getting one for me to use and the boys to “play” with. Good to know it has a high recommendation from you and your family.

LOL when I read about you hoola-hooping. 🙂

  2. I really like the new papers/colors! This card design is something that would be fun to make. On a different note, I’m really thinking about a Wii Fit too. Let me know in a week if you’re still using it :-).

  3. We played our Wii Fit for hours upon hours…at first! It’s still fun when we break it out but not as often as before! The balance game where you avoid the bees floating down the river in a bubble is my absolute favourite! The slolam skiing is fun too! Enjoy it!

I’m not so crazy about the new SU colors. 🙁
    I like the old ones.

  5. We love our Wii – Your office I don’t know – I don’t think you will get any work done. The Hula hoop is hard. Try the soccer balls yikes. We love ours. Enjoy it is relaxing. How did you do at bowling? Great card love the colors

  6. The jury is still out about the new In colors for me…Until I saw this card! I really like it. The new colors do not seem to “go together” to me, unless you are doing a bright card. BUT this card doesn’t seem that bright. It seems fresh. Thanks for showing it and I hope you enjoy your swap.
