Google Reader & Washing Machine

Before I start my pity party ……I'll tell you the good news first.  I loaded a new video today and it's a video of my May Card Class and it's posted on my Stampin' Academy.  Click hereif you'd like to watch it.  Or click hereif you'd like to purchase the kit or read the details for my May Card Class.

I filmed a couple videos today and they are edited  & almost ready to go. I just need to load them on You Tube.  As soon as I get at least one loaded I'll post my project tomorrow (Wednesday).

Now to the not so fun stuff……Google Reader can go first.  Updates are not working 🙂  Can I just say I'd like to fall to the floor & cry (that would be a funny video!!)  I spent maybe three hours trying to figure out what happened.  All I can tell you is the updates stopped on April 2nd.  But, the good news is….if you add my website to your Google Reader now, it will update you from this point forward.  If you don't know what Google Reader is and you want me to explain it to you please feel free to call or email me (angie@chicstand.com).  If you use Feedburner, you don't need Google Reader….so if you're happy with Feedburner don't change anything!  If you would like to add Google Reader, there is a little button on the left side of this blog & when you click on it you'll have a choice of how you want to subscribe (click on google reader when you get there).

When it rains it pours…my washing machine is still not working…..yes, it's been over a week.  I'll stop there because you know what that means for a family of four.  Can I just say "what was I thinking loading the bathtub and washing a load by hand".

Thanks for stopping by….See ya later 🙂

  1. Oh, Ang – you are hysterical! When I got to the part about washing the clothes in the tub…I’m laughing out loud! I can just picture you trying to wring out 500 pounds of kid’s jeans! BUT I am sympathetic and totally feel your pain (been in that situation myself, and we are a family of 5!) So hang in there, think of the big picture and know we love ya!

  2. Give yourself a break!! The last time I had a washer go down I found a nice laundromat that did laundry for a fee per pound. I spent some of my fun money, but it was WELL worth it! The second time the machine was “ill” I just sucked it up and went to the laundromat myself. After that, I let the hubby know that the laundromat kept me from doing things that make me happy, which as you know, affects everyone!! Hang in there, or hang laundry, just be HAPPY!

  3. Oh Angie…I am picturing you in a tub and walking around trying to make a whirl pool(getting good adjatation-sp?), that’s what I would have done, LOL. Sounds fun until I think about the SOAKING wet/heavy clothes I would have to contend with after I was done having fun:) I’m sorry things are not going so good right now. You know how it goes-when it rains, it pours-at least around here that is how it seems! Good luck and try and have a good rest of the week!

  4. well not such a bad idea- the washing the clothes in the tub part-
but yeah wringing and lugging the sopping bunch to your dryer
would not be fun. Your dryer’s working right??
In my neighbourhood many of the young families are using clothes
lines outdoors. I think maybe you should go hang out the kiddos and hubbies undies !!

  5. OOh I feel for you! We were a family of three living in Germany when our washing machine broke down.I actually wahsed some in the tub!! Not fun. It was that or climb four flights of stairs with a 2yr old and drive 10miles to nearest Army post.Chalk up this speed bump to another life experience.
    Thanks for your great video’s.

  6. Love the “pity party” comment. Sometimes we need to just stop and say boo-hoo to put things into perspective. There is a laundry around here somewhere that washes by the pound – my daughter-in-law used it after we got back from California. She felt she need to treat herself. Makes me remember (and appreciate her more and more) my Mom doing all our laundry with a scrub board and hanging clothes outside to dry.

  7. So sorry to hear about your washer & glad that it’s fixed now but you made me laugh so hard. We sometimes need to vent once in awhile, we’re human after all!

I deleted you blog address & put it in again on Google Reader, did that a few times but it’s still only showing til April 2, sorry. I don’t know why all of a sudden that happened, Stampin Academy is fine though…no problems there!
