I knew it would happen…..my computer crashed and boy did it crash…all my files and pictures were lost for several hours today. Thank God, a friend came over and recovered them long enough for me to save them to an external hard drive. But, I need to get a new computer and we’re leaving for the lake…..Hope I get a new computer and I get to see you next week!!! I’ll continue to check my email from my kids computers. Have a safe and fun weekend!!! I’ll miss you all!!!
Updated on 8/30/07 If you don’t own an external hard drive…..run…don’t walk to the store and buy one! Very easy to transfer your files, I can’t believe I’m going through this. If you’re like me and not sure what to do…Please ask me…it was truly that easy. The hard part will be figuring out what new computer to buy!!
Good morning stampers!!
These are two of the cards I made last week when I was trying to come up with my Sept. Card Kits. I thought each of these cards had a little something wrong with them….not sure what it is, but I did manage to fix it!!
Thank you to the girls that already placed their order early!! I should finish the supply list soon (refuse to say today, you never know what might crop up).
Have a Wild Wednesday!!!
Now I remember what was wrong with the skull card…you can’t see the scallop punch…that needed to be Pumpkin …or Really Rust and then I made a few more changes.
Thanks for stopping by!!!
Today is another busy day for me…in fact this whole week is going to be crazy!!
Ran out of stamping time yesterday….had "meet the teacher" night at the high school so I’m not finished with my little cards for my friend…..maybe tomorrow….but it may not happen this week since we’re headed to the lake Friday.
So….I’m back to sharing my swaps…see I told ya, I got some really fantastic cards from these girls!!

Isn't this the cutest card? My friend Dawn sent it to me.
My next item to share with you is what I got in the mail yesterday….now if you read my post yesterday you have to know my mind was not in the right place (or my body either…wink wink) so anyway I checked my mail and there was a package…… and for 10 minutes or so I could not figure out why I was getting it.
Well, to be truthful I was kinda thinking that God knew I needed a "pick me up" and there it was…in my mailbox. I think I wrote a couple days ago that sometimes I forget things….never use to happen…turned 40 a few years ago and my memory just went out the window…oops rambling again…Okay..the end of the story …I signed up with Jen to do a RAK for this month. Was not sure what to expect and look at the goodies Corie sent me….the picture does not do the cards justice! Isn't this a nice surprise? (side note here…I feel so bad, I only sent my girl a couple cards….since it's my first time I didn't know what to expect…maybe I should put another package in the mail.) Thanks Corie!!
And last but not least Dawn E. nominated me for Best Blog Friend…thanks girlfriend and back at ya!! Sometimes is hard to pick who you want to nominate so I'm gonna nominate all my bloggin buddies this week. It's been a whirlwind with all the tutorials, comments, blog candy…What a great week….(until yesterday)!!!
Have a super Saturday and thanks for checking in!!
Here ya go…..the folding album tutorial! But can I tell ya…today is not a Happy Friday…I broke my little toe last night and got a speeding ticket today (got my ticket in front of the 45mph sign for going 47 in a 35, never really thought I had to pass the sign before I could speed up….and yes I’ve cried for a few hours.
So, passing on this tutorial will cheer me up to help someone else have a good day!!
If you have any questions, please let me know.
Thanks again Stacy for giving me instructions!!! Can you believe I’ve made this album before, it was just smaller. Somedays I scare myself!!
Check back later for my September Card Kits!!
Isn’t this sooo cute?? I just had to share with ya. For those of you that made it to Convention, I heard that Jaron showed you how to make these cute little booking cups. The sky is the limit with these cups, there’s no tags or stamping on this one…but image if you added that!!!
I know, they look like those cute little baskets using the toliet paper rolls, but these are soooo much easier and I’m positive I can make more than 6 an hour!!!! (For my open house I made the TP baskets and it took me two hours to make 12 of them.)
Thanks for the instructions Debbie (I tweaked it alittle)!!!!!
Here’s the tutorial…if you have questions just let me know!! I forgot to take a picture of all the supplies, but I will list them.
Supplies: 3 oz Dixie cup, Creepy Crawly Designer paper, Basic Black & Pumpkin Pie Cardstock (I used Confetti white cardstock to create my template), Black Brads, Black Grosgrain Ribbon, Sticky Strip, Scissors, Paper Piercer & candy!! You can also use the bigger cups, but they will cost more to fill them (and even if you fill them will cute crinkle paper, that’s expensive too!!)
Are you trying to figure out what’s in that picture with the paper piercer? That is one of the old Antenna balls that Stampin’ Up sold years ago…that’s where I keep my paper piercer!!(I know it’s not a ball but what do you call those things you put on the end of your car antenna?)
As I promised…here ya go!! No laughing at me if I did something wrong :()
Here’s the supplies:
Trimmer with Scoring blade, Sticky Strip, Double Stick Tape, 2-Way Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter,Stampin’ Dimensionals, Scallop Punch, Priceless Stamp Set, Wild Wasabi Ink & Cardstock, Scissors, Ruler & Notepad
If that red line bothers you then have them cut that off and you’ll just have two pads.
I’m also working on a Christmas wish list but will wait until we get closer to Christmas to show ya!!
Please let me know if you have any questions.
P.S. I just hit 20,000 hits on my blog…what does that mean…more blog candy….I will draw a name tomorrow for one of these note pads from everyone that post a comment on this tutorial Good Luck!!
Extra info: Took notepads to Kinkos and they cute the whole stack at one time. Bought notepads at Walmart, but next time will get them at Office Max or Office Depot!!
Update 8/23…Congrats to Ali for winning the grocery list!!!
Another card from the swap….isn’t it pretty? I want this set soooo bad!!!
Aren’t you happy I have all the swaps to share with you since I haven’t stamped in a couple days. I sure am!!!
Congrats to Kim for winning my blog candy yesterday!! And guess what…..she just celebrated her birthday! That was so cool that Chase drew her name from the basket!!! Tomorrow I’ll have Brook pick a name for my customers/downline blog candy.
Big News!!!!! If you’ve looked at my calendar and wrote down my class dates…please check back in a couple days. Dave surprised me last night and told me he was taking me to Vegas (we’re staying at the RED ROCK RESORT) for our 16th anniversary… .he already ask his dad to come to our house and watch our kids…Yippie!!! He was going to surprise me and then I was talking about all my classes this fall and he saw that I had a Christmas Class planned that week. He should know by now I don’t like surprises…..except when they’re really good presents…..like at Christmas…he surprised me with a Canon XTI digital camera…yes, I cried!! I had resorted to using my old Canon Rebel because my point and shoot camera was driving me crazy!!! Oh well, I better stop now..I could ramble forever!
Have a great Tuesday!!!
p.s. if you saw my little rude comment that I posted yesterday, please ignore me, having a stomach ache for multiple days was making me grumby. Sorry!!!
