I made this cute little card to send to everyone that sent me flowers, cards, gifts and meals. Needed something quick and easy but wanted it to be cute. I can’t thank everyone enough for all the well wishes. Even you Gerry for sending me a Happy Friday email last week!!
As for the surgery, Holy Cow, I can’t imagine having more than one surgery and pray to God I never have another!! When I woke up, my entire body hurt, even my elbow (HONEST!!). I thought 2 C sections counted as surgery, oops, I was wrong and happy to say I was. My doctors appt is in a few hours and hopefully I’ll get the all clear to leave my bedroom! For anyone that had been on bed rest, as we say in the South, Bless your Heart!!!! I’m not sure what I would have done if my daddy hadn’t drove out here to help us out! (Miss ya daddy, you too Deanna, I know you’ll read this together….wink wink)
Details on my card……besides it being my first stamped image in almost 2 weeks..yikes..pray that never happens again!! Stamps: Best of Cluck and You’re Neat Ink: Basic black and markers Cardstock: Celery, Regal Rose and Whisper White Accessories: Sponge & White Gel Pen ….and yes I finally got my hands on those amazing oval punches!!! I post again later on where I found those and give ya the link.
Gotta add a funny story, Dawn called me yesterday and I almost hung up on her, girl I thought you were a telemarketer (how do you spell that word?) Good luck at the dentist!
Have a Fantastic Friday!!
Just a quick note to let you all know I’m home! Surgery went well but the meds are making me sick!! I hope anyday now I’ll feel a little better. Thanks for all the ecards and emails, sending me well wishes. It’s the little things that make us happy.
My vision is very blurred, so if I’ve typed something weird forgive me!! When I get back on my feet I’ll upload some pictures of goodies I’ve been given.
I had good intentions of stamping something today and having a fabulous post before my surgery, but as usual I have no concept of time and I’m running behind!! My surgery (details are somewhere on this blog) is in the morning and I’m not sure how many days I’ll be away. I should be able to check email in a few days but no stamping for at least 10 days, maybe more. I know, I’m freaking too! Have a great week and Happy Stamping!! (I’ll miss you!)
I love making folding albums!! The "B" is for Brook, which reminds me, I need to finish the inside and give it to her!
Thanks for all the well wishes for her 13th birthday!
Made this card when I was trying to come up with projects for my class.
Here's the details: Stamps: Reason to Smile Ink: Chocolate Chip & Close to Cocoa for sponging Paper: Kraft, Very Vanilla & Au Chocolat Designer Tools & Accessories: Chocolate Grosgrain Ribbon & Horizontal Slot punch.
Have Super Saturday!!
Today is Brook’s Golden Birthday, big 13!!! When she saw Sandra’s clipboard a few weeks ago she loved it and ask if I would make her one. I let her pick out the paper & this is it. Can’t tell you how happy I am that she picked Pink!!! For years she has protested pink (probably because that’s the color I dressed her in for at least 6 years). Anyway, I gave it to her after school yesterday and she loved it, she said especially the bird….what is it they say?? like mother like daughter? Tonight we’re going to spend some money…she and I love to read and we’re going Borders or maybe we’ll take a drive and go to Rainy Day Books!!
Have a Fantastic Friday!!
Special note……I just have to say…"thanks" to everyone that has replied to our "Cards for the Troops". We have heard from so many of you, can’t find the words to express our Thanks and I’m sure the guys in Iraq will feel the same. God Bless you all!!!
Nothing like the last minute to decide a project. I had to make these post it notes because I know my customers will love them!! The next picture is what I made first (thinking of my friends) and then I decided that I wanted to use "just a note" because they are post its!
Now I gotta get busy cutting! Have a good day!!
Project #4 for tomorrows class. I was inspired by several cards that I saw on SCS using the Petal Prints, then Dawn used it yesterday on her card. So, here’s mine! ( I will admit I used a non SU stamp for the words, I just couldn’t resist. The words are a perfect fit. Maybe I’ll find a SU one before my class & switch it out.)
Here’s the details…. Stamps: Petal Prints & Paper Tray Ink: Chocolate Chip & Close to Cocoa Paper: Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla & Au Chocolat Designer (Spring Mini Catalog) Accessories: Chocolate Grosgrain, DD Glitter
Have a great evening!
I love Post it note holders!! They are one of my favorites to make.
